Amy Brown is our Terrific Kid for this month! The character word for April is courage and Amy frequently demonstrates courage in our classroom. She keeps trying even when things get tough and is not afraid of making mistakes, because that is what makes us learn and grow! Amy is always ready with an answer and she takes brave steps with her writing, as this can be difficult to do in first grade. First grade is full of new challenges, and Amy steps up to the plate with each one. And not only that, Amy is kind, loving, and a good friend. Thanks for being so terrific, Amy, and for doing your best at school. We love you!! Ms. James and the Happy Campers!!

Kynzlee Channell has the courage to be HERSELF! She has been brave in the classroom by sharing her thinking and asking questions when she's uncertain of something. She's also courageous in providing help to her classmates and teacher. I appreciate her taking initiative in and out of the classroom. Thanks for being TERRIFIC Kynzlee!

This month's Teriffic Kid in Mr. Johnston's Room is Ryker Broome. When I think of the word courage, the 1st student who comes to mind is Ryker because he consistently shows the courage to stay on task, complete all of his school work, regardless of any distractions occurring around him. Way to go Ryker. Love, Mr. Johnston

Mrs. Siebert's Terrific Kid is Peyton Baker. Peyton is always willing to lend a helping hand. She consistently helps Ms. Gloria with the breakfast cleanup and does it so quietly it is normally done before I realize it. Peyton is also honest and dependable. I know that if I ask her to do something it will get done and get done efficiently. I have enjoyed having Peyton in my homeroom and am honored to have her represent us as out April Terrific Kid!

The Terrific Kid for April is a special title for someone who represents ALL the pillars combined. Well, Abigail Johnson definitely does this and much more. Her character is one that shows respect for all others all the time, responsibility for the way she keeps up with her assignments, caring in the way she treats her classmates and adults around her, citizenship in the way she carries herself, fairness for doing things in a way that benefits everyone, and above all, trustworthiness because I can count on her to be honest and truthful always! Thank you, Abigail for being all these things and for being a bright and shining example to others. You are very much appreciated and loved! Mrs. Andrews and the Alligators.

Our class is excited to put forward, Darold Stern, as our Terrific Kid. Darold has worked extremely hard to earn this honor. He is kind, caring, and loyal to his friends, and always has his teacher's back. Darold is one of the most trustworthy young men I have ever had the pleasure to teach. The things that set Darold apart in the realm of trustworthiness is the ability to tell the whole truth, making promises he intends to keep, and a sense of loyalty to his friends and classmates. Darold is the CEO of our classroom charity business. He keeps up with the books, recording our daily totals, and making sure no one is cheated. He is also a super classroom helper. No job is too big for Darold. If you want a job done and done right, Darold is your go to guy. We love you Darold, your star is shining bright today!!! Love Ms. Ann Johnson in the Marvellous 2nd graders.

Jace Wilson, thank you for your courage to be an example of kindness, honesty, and thoughtfulness. You choose every day to be an example of all of those things and set the bar from the beginning for all of our class to reach. If all students at all schools were like Jace than the schools would turn out people who will make our world the best it could ever be. Thank you for making our world a better place even if it's only our classroom. We love you, Mrs. Sipprell and the Pirates.
